Recovering from a gruelling world tour, Shakira, obviously in need of a little retail therapy, hit the shops in Beverly Hills yesterday with a girl pal as they trundled around The Ivy. Enjoy the pictures of Shakira as she picked over some cute outfits:

Shakira is reportedly looking to take a very long break from the music business, according to insiders who have been working with the multi-Grammy winner.

The Colombian has just wrapped up her hugely successful Oral Fixation World Tour where she played some 111 dates across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. The tour ended on a high note when she performed in front of 210,000 fans in a record-breaking free concert in Mexico.

Apparently Shakira hasn’t even given thought to producing new material for another album at this point. Instead, she’s started thinking about trying her hands at a career as an actress. She’s been linked to several pictures, but has yet to commit to any single project.

“Usually singers are good interpreters, but not good actors,” Shakira was quoted as saying sometime ago. “so you need to get with a good actors’ director. I would have to if the day comes when I do acting.”
